Privacy policy
Sedgefield Removals (Fishburn, County Durham) runs this website. This page explains what we do with the details you send us. Questions: email sedgefieldremovals@gmail.com or call 07836 583955.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote we receive your name, email, phone number, collection and delivery postcodes, access details, moving date and the list of items you tell us about. We use them only to quote for and carry out your move.
Who handles it
The form is sent to us by email using Resend, and a copy is kept in the secure customer system run for us by Aposlo Studios, who build and look after this website, so no request gets lost. The website is hosted by Vercel. None of them use your details for anything else, and we don't sell or share your details with anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests for up to two years so we can help with repeat moves, then delete them. Ask us any time to see or delete what we hold.
Cookies and visits to the site
Nothing that isn't needed to run the site is set until you agree. When you first visit you are asked whether to allow cookies, with Reject and Accept side by side.
If you accept, we use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how people found us. It is provided by Google, which may process this data outside the UK under the safeguards in Google's privacy policy. It tells us how the site is used; it does not tell us who you are.
If you reject, no analytics or advertising cookies are set. Google receives only signals that carry no cookies and nothing that identifies you, which it uses to estimate totals.
The phone number
If you arrived from one of our adverts, the phone number shown on this site may be a Google forwarding number that rings our normal phone. Google records that the call happened and how long it lasted, never what was said.
Taps on our phone and WhatsApp buttons
When you tap our phone number or WhatsApp button, the site counts the tap: which button, which page, the time, and whether you came from one of our Google adverts. It sets no cookie, stores nothing on your device and keeps nothing that identifies you (no IP address and no details of your device), whatever you chose about cookies. We use the count to see how many people get in touch.
Your choices
You can change your cookie choice at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your data. If you're unhappy with how we've handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
