What kind of business moves do you do?
Offices, shops and business units, from a single room to a whole floor. Desks, chairs, filing cabinets, shelving, stock and IT equipment are handled the same careful way as a house move: wrapped, strapped and loaded so nothing shifts on the road.
If the move is part of a refit or a downsize, we can also take away the furniture and rubbish you're not bringing with you, and dispose of it responsibly rather than leaving it in a corridor.
Do you move shops and business units?
Yes. Shop moves come with stock, shelving and counters. Stock travels best boxed and labelled by section, and shelving that bolts together comes apart for the journey and goes back up at the other end. If the new unit has a shutter or a loading door, tell us when it's open so we can plan the run.
Can you move us outside working hours?
Yes. Moving on an evening or at the weekend means your staff and customers aren't working around a removal crew, and you can open in the new place without losing a day. Tell us your opening hours and we'll plan the move around them.
How do you plan an office move?
It starts with the quote: what's going, from where to where, access at both ends (lifts, stairs, loading areas and parking) and when you need to be up and running. From there we pick the van and the crew size, two to four movers depending on the job, and agree the order things come out and go back in.
Labelling desks and boxes by room or by person makes the other end much quicker. Desks and shelving that won't travel in one piece are taken apart and put back together where you want them.
What about computers and IT equipment?
Monitors, computers, printers and other equipment are wrapped and kept upright where they need to be. We'd suggest your own IT person or supplier backs up data and disconnects and reconnects network equipment: we look after the physical move, they look after the systems.
What should we do before moving day?
Book your date as early as you can, ideally at least 2 to 5 days ahead. Tell your landlord or building manager when the move is happening and check whether lifts need booking. Clear out what you don't need first, and decide what's going to the new place and what's coming with us for disposal.
Pack personal items and paperwork into boxes, and label each one with the room it's going to. On the day, have one person on site who can answer questions about where things go.
How is a business move priced?
Every business move is different, so we quote each one on what's going, the distance, the access and how many movers it needs. What's on the quote is what you pay. If you're also clearing out old furniture or waste, tell us at the start so it's included in the price.
Only moving a few pieces?
A couple of desks, a counter or a cabinet between sites is a smaller job. We can often fit it in same-day or next-day with a small van, without booking a full crew.
